"Le Nespole" is
a totally restored charming house in a typical Tuscan hilltop village
in central Tuscany called Radicondoli. This is the perfect place for
anybody really wishing to get away from it all, relax and experience
real Tuscan village life without having to use the car every day.
The property has been beautifully done by the owners and is full of character and charm
with excellent quality furnishings and up-market fittings. Beamed ceilings,
terracotta floors and authentic Tuscan furniture are found throughout
the two-storey home.
The living area is on the ground floor and is very spacious and comfortable.
There is a good size lounge room with a lovely open fireplace as well
as a large separate dining room which comfortably seats eight people.
The kitchen is full of character with stone walls, beamed ceilings and
a travertine bench top. Leading off from the dining room through large
arched glass doors is an internal courtyard with outdoor eating and
barbeque. This courtyard can also be accessed directly from the kitchen.
There is a separate toilet and hand basin downstairs.
Upstairs there are two full size double bedrooms each complete with
their own bathrooms allowing maximum privacy for two couples. One of
the bedrooms also has a large loft space with two single beds and an
oval window with wonderful views out on to the surrounding countryside.
There is a small service laundry on this level. The house is equipped
with a dishwasher, washing machine, satellite television, telephone
and stereo.
Radicondoli itself is a very picturesque village of about 1,000 inhabitants.
It is set up very high and offers wonderful views over the unspoilt
countryside. In the village there are three restaurants, a bank, pharmacy,
bakery, post office, etc. The largest nearby town is Colle Val D'Elsa
which is a twenty minute drive away and where you can directly access
the Florence-Siena motorway. San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena are all
within forty minutes driving distance.
